In this lecture, I try to explain, not necessarily argue, that we badly need to find what I call a ‘moral paradigm.’ I am not a scholar of comparative religions, and so my hunches about the unified foundations of many religions should be taken as just that: hunches. I pull heavily from pop-culture to illustrate the point. I find my writing style here juvenile, overly contemplative, posturing myself as a deeply conflicted, pained soul who just can’t BEAR the pain any longer. WOE IS ME! Keep in mind that this is intended to be given to a popular audience, and is meant to illustrate the import of finding a way to understand ourselves and the world, and evaluate its import.
